STEP 1- Video Evaluation
During the video evaluation, we record the
athlete running through a series of movements with the ball such as shooting, defense, and offense. We believe that visual
learning is important. We also use this to show how the athlete is progressing and improving through training. (this video
can be purchased for $40)
STEP 2- Create an Individualized Plan
Based on the athlete's strength and weaknesses, we create an
individualized shooting chart,* ball handling chart,** and a model work out. This is tailored specifically to each unique
athlete.
*Shooting Chart- We create a shot chart that
identifies several areas for the athlete to shoot from. The goal is to log every single shot in sets of 10 in order to continually challenge the athlete to hit more shots. It’s a fun, goal-oriented activity that will ignite motivation and determination.
** Ball Handling- “CONTROL THE BALL,
CONTROL THE GAME!” Based on the athlete's skill level, we design the
ball handling skills program with individual moves for them to work on. We create
a competitive environment by timing the athletes as they perform these moves.
Similar to the shooting chart, this activity challenges the athlete to “beat”
their previous time and master ball handling skills.
Step 3: Monitor and Evaluate
We periodically adjust the program goals based
on the athlete's improvements and needs over the course of the program.
